There is a fantastic illustrated double page spread, with examples of real women and their amazing accomplishments. Having a daughter, myself, I was drawn to this book as it promotes STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) has a strong girl character. Rosie Revere, Engineer was published in 2013 and there is now a there is a growing trend for children’s books to challenge gender stereotypes. The quirky illustrations by David Roberts are full of so much detail, and sure to keep children busy studying the pictures. What’s not to love about this book?
